The Start Of My Collection... | Beauty

Hello Lovelies,

You may or may not have known that it was my birthday on Wednesday, and despite the very stressful, ill week i have had, my actual birthday was lovely! I feel so lucky and blessed to have such amazing family and friends, and i couldn't have had a better day (except maybe if the rain stopped.) One of my favourite presents was from some of my friends, and was a MAC Eyeshadow Palette - i'm so excited just typing it!! I've been umming and arring about getting one for a while now, but i've been put off by the prices, and i didn't even know where to start. Now thanks to my dearest friends i have to start of my collection :) I remember reading that Zoella started her collection at 17, so when better to start mine than my 17th birthday?!

Obviously, i haven't got a full palette, but i just have a few essential shades to start me off. My wonderful friends bought me two shades (and the palette of course) and i treated myself to another two. I think just with these four shades you could create a really pretty eye look.

From L-R: 'Malt' 'Woodwinked' 'Expensive Pink' 'Brown Down'
Top: Natural Light, Bottom: Flash
A bit of a closer look...

Of course, swatches...

(it's quite hard to see 'malt' but it does show up, i promise!!)

I am very excited to carry on growing my collection, and create some beautiful eye looks with them. I have only worn these a few times and i am already in love - i think this may become an addiction. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to my lovely friends who gave this to me :)

Also, keep in touch with me on my links, and be sure to follow my bloglovin' so you can be the first to see what eye looks i create, and what shades i buy next!!

Thanks so much for reading! Leave me a comment recommending any of your favourite MAC shades?

Blogger's Block

Hello Lovelies,

Just want to start off by saying sorry for not posting last week - life has been hectic to say the least, and to top that all off i have had no clue what to post :( I guess this is my first experience of blogger's block, i have lots of ideas, but they are not quite ready to be shared with you guys yet!! I am probably going to do some beauty & fashion hauls in the near future, but right now i am just loving the life of being a broke teenager (sense the sarcasm???) Even despite working allll the time, i still seem to spend my money on air. Also college and work together are just so demanding, every time i have a spare minute i seem too be snoozing on the sofa with my dogs - haha!

& In case you didn't know, it is my birthday on wednesday 26th!! For the first time i don't feel super duper excited, i mean, 17 isn't really a very exciting birthday, and i've got so much going on i haven't even stopped to think about it. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for 18 next year. If its your birthday this week, have a very happy birthday from me!!

Also in other news, did you know today is 30years since The Breakfast Club's detention?! Pretty cool huh.... And if you don't know what i'm talking about, you need to go and watch it right now - it is one of my all time favourite movies! Love love love...

I'm afraid that's all today guys, i'll be back with a proper post soon.

Thanks so much for reading :)

My 'Holy Grail' Products | Beauty

Hello Lovelies,

Today i decided that i wanted to share all of the beauty bits that i simply can't live without/are perfecto for me! These are products that i have repurchased because i love them so much, or i have not even had to repurchase as they have lasted so well!

Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub
Does exactly what it says - not to skin drying, and the exfoliant beads aren't to harsh. I don't tend to use this daily though, as my skin is rather sensitive.

Simple 'Light Moisturiser'
The best moisturiser for everyday use, it's so good at preventing dry skin without being too greasy. Also this is great for eczema prone/sensitive/acne prone skin.

Calcot Manor Moisture Souffle
I adore this body moisturiser, it smells amazing and is so nourishing and lovely!

Nivea 'Stress Protect' Deodorant
This is the only deodorant i've found that actually works, guess i just get too stressed out, haha!

Burts Bees Beeswax Lip Balm
This is an absolute blessing, the best lip product ever in my opinion!

Collection 'Lasting Perfection' Concealer (Warm Medium)
Rimmel 'Stay Matte' Powder (Classic Beige)
I could literally last the whole day with just the two products on my face, the concealer has the most phenomenal coverage, and the powder keeps the shine away for such a long time.

Sleek 'Au Naturel' Palette
I have included this palette because i think it is the best 'all rounder' there are some beautiful shimmer shades, and the matte brown shades are my all time favourite colour for in the crease.

Shade: Taupe

Shade: Regal

Swatches of my favourite shades; Left: Taupe, Right: Regal

Rimmel Blush (Smoked Oyster)
This is the prettiest blush, i absolutely adore the colour. It is fairly subtle but just gives a lovely sheen to the cheeks.

What are your Holy Grail products? Are any of them the same as mine?

Quick Update: I don't think i am going to do a 'friday favourite' segment on my blog every week, as it has become difficult to think of things, and i don't want to just put rubbish on here :)

Thanks so much for reading!

Friday Favourite | Music

my favourite product of the week...

Hello Lovelies,

So it seems that although my blog title contains 'music' as a heading, I do not include nearly enough music reviews or about the music I am loving. I do listen to A LOT of music, and I do like to sing, but I always feel like I'm not up to date with what's going on in the music world.... In other words I would rather listen to musicals and destiny's child than the chart hits. I also tend to stick a lot with the same artists, as I know what music I like and I see no reason to not have it on repeat constantly. I suppose some of my favourite 'more relevant' artists are Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, James Arthur, Vince Kidd and Iggy Azalea (who I am going to talk about in this post.) But apart from that you will most definitely find me singing along to Grease/Burlesque/Chicago etc, because I just LOVE musicals!! Along with musicals I do like other movies; more recently The Hunger Games/Twilight Saga/Lord of the rings & The Hobbit trilogy's etc etc

BUT ANYWAY, the point of that rather long introduction was to say that this weeks favourite consists of a movie and music, excited? Well you should be!!

This weeks favourite is........... IGGY AZALEA & CLUELESS:

If you aren't a big fan of Iggy, you probably will be a bit confused about why i am linking the two; well, in her newest music video to 'Fancy' she pays huge tribute to the movie Clueless, and well i was inspired.

Obviously after watching the video and linking it to all of the GIF'S i had seen on tumblr, i just had to see the movie behind the tartan - and i was not dissapointed.

♥ tartan

I suppose it is your normal teen girly movie; but at the same time it isn't at all. Cher (the main character) has THE BEST dress sense, and most of what she does/says is ingenius. She is a rich girl, but you don't find yourself loathing or envying her. I suppose i was expecting a Regina George type character but she is not at all! Ever since i first watched it, i can't help wanting all of Cher's wardrobe, and to my surprise i already own almost identical leggings as these:

spy those leggings?

That's a match! Topshop £28

But my favourite outfit of Cher's would have to be:

i am in love!!!!!!!!!

And that is what i have loved this week;

Thank you for reading, I'm sorry that this post is a day late, so it's technically a saturday favourite woops!
